Established in 2019, Lucky Start has successfully graduated over 100 children, preparing them for kindergarten and grade school.

Right in the heart of Burbank, in between the main streets of Magnolia and Chandler, Lucky Start ensures a safe and nurturing environment for your little ones!

About Us

Meet The Owne
Along with her international Bachelor's degree in Business, Sona Mikayelyan has graduated Los Angeles Valley College with two degrees, one in Accounting, the other in Child Development. She has countless years of experience in kindergartens, daycares, and schools across Los Angeles. Her work experience begins as a volunteer after earning her degree at Los Angeles Valley college at the Child Development center, interacting with children, and building up her experience in the environment. She has also worked as a teacher assistant in Head Start schools for Volunteers of America, and volunteered at Almost Home child care center. Over the course of five years and 50 units of Child Development courses, Sona has the utmost dedication and experience to take the best care of your children!

“Lucky Start has the most amazing and patient staff who truly love all the children. They taught my daughter more than just potty skills. They taught her how to recognize the alphabet, days of the week and shapes. They gave her the ability to succeed and excel in kindergarten based on a solid education that they provided. The facility is the cleanest in town. I have toured other daycares only to be burdened with the smell of urine and crying infants everywhere. Here there are plenty of helping hands who are tentative to each child’s individual needs. My daughter needs love and affection and Sona and her staff delivered more than what was expected. “If I could give Lucky Start Daycare 100 stars, I would. What can I say about this Daycare except that from the moment I brought my daughter Lylah it felt like family. We had a rough start because Lylah was not used to daycare but teacher Sona Julie and Dina always made everything so easy.
We are now in our fourth month with lucky start and I can’t even tell you how grateful and happy we are to have found lucky start. We have been going through a lot of hard times right now and teacher Sona has been unbelievably patient with us and has been so great with Lylah and to me we have searched for so many different Daycare’s, but I knew the minute I found Lucky start that this was the place for Lylah and me. It is very stressful and overwhelming to find the perfect place for your child to go and to be comfortable at but I guarantee you that this is the perfect place. “This has to be the best daycare in Burbank. My son joined Lucky Start Childcare when he was 11 months old, and he loved it from the beginning. I still remember the first pictures Sona sent of him playing and getting to know the other kids. He never cried at drop-off and was as happy as could be every day when I picked him up. Friday was his last day, as we are moving out of Burbank, and we will for sure miss the loving teachers, the other kids and parents, and all the fun activities Lucky Start Childcare does for the kids!”

“We love Lucky Start so much! Sona and her daughters are so great with the kids. My son has been there about a year and has learned so much. Most mornings when we drop him off he just runs right in and doesn’t look back, which is a great sign of how much he loves being there! With three homemade meals included and all of the loving care it is a great value. They have plenty of toys inside and out, and it’s always very clean (I’m always amazed how she does it, because my house is a disaster with one toddler, let alone SIX!). Sona also sends photos often and posts to Instagram, so it’s always fun to see what the kids are up to. In a long year of uncertainty with covid, finding Lucky Start has been a huge bright spot for us and we couldn’t be happier.”
